In the Kitchen with Maija | Guilt free Chocolate Brownies

Guilt free chocolate brownies? Is there such a thing you may ask. Well there is, and they're only 52 calories per brownie.

I am very into baking and looking at different recipes where you can substitute certain ingredients to make healthier options. So when I was on Pinterest and found this low calorie brownie recipe I was super excited to try it out and just knew I would have to share it with you guys. 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup non-fat 0% greek yogurt 
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup truvia (or any natural/ stevia based sweetener that pours with a sugar consistency) 
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/4 cup skim milk


This is a super easy - and not to mention quick - recipe which can be done in under half an hour. 


Step 1. Add, into a mixing bowl, all of your ingredients.



Step 2. I used an electric whisk to mix up my mixture, yet you can use a food processor or blender also.


Step 3. I greased my tin with my olive oil 'spray' which actually only has 1 calorie per spray! 

Step 4. I then just 'poured' my mixture into the tin and poped it into the oven for 15-20 mins at 400'F or gas mark 6. 




After your brownies are done baking in the oven, get them out but don't forget to leave them to cool for about half an hour before cutting them into slices. You should get around 6 - 9 average sized brownies but don't worry if you get more or less. 

Step 5. enjoy!!!
