Covent Garden & The Laduree

hey guys, so its monday. I just got back from a run around the block and I'm now sitting here with a green tea and a macaroon, mmm. It is freezing cold out right now so I'm currently wrapped up in layers upon layers.

Yesterday (sunday) me and one of my best friends decided to go to Covent Garden in London as we really wanted to go to the Laduree, (a place which is originally situated in paris which sells macaroons, there are only a few scattered across the countries; paris, New York and London).

We got the tube to covent garden and then just wondered around a little until we came across the Laduree. Whilst we were wondering around we saw lots of different circus acts, there was this one man who was juggling knives (I certainly couldn't do that), a lady singing with maybe not quite the best voice, a man who was riding on an unicycle. We wondered around the market part and saw some art work which was based on old films like dirty dancing, grease and so on. Once we got to the Laduree I was mentally jumping with excitement.

I bought a selections of six (which you could handpick yourself)

I picked 2 vanilla macaroons, a raspberry one, chocolate, praline and strawberry and marshmallow. So far my favourite will have to have been the vanilla one although I still haven't tried them all.

After getting our Macaroons, my friend and I went to Starbucks to get a drink and warm up a little. I got a Iced mocha again (Im really starting to get addicted to them hehe).

After that we once again wondered around a little and I saw this adorable sign outside a sweet shop.
(you guys know how I am with my cute little chalk boards haha).

I wore;
black petite leigh jeans - Topshop
grey turtle neck thin knit crop top - brandy Melville
black boots - new look (a few years ago)
leather jacket - new look

Any way I hope everyone survives this week, I'm trying my hardest to (although its only monday and I'm already ready to curl up in my bed and never wake up! haha)

Carnaby Street

hey guys, its been a while. I feel bad, I haven't written a blog in like eternity haha. So how has everyone's 2014 been so far, keeping to those new years resolutions I hope.

So far in 2014, Ive managed to watch the complete Gossip Girl series, and let me tell you I could watch it over and over again. It just made me fall in love with fashion and New York even more.

So its Sunday today and I just got home from a lovely day in London with my cousin Zoe, we went to Carnaby Street. (I currently feel like I just took a swim in Antarctica so I'm just going to go and put the kettle on a make a green tea). Ok, I'm back with my green tea and ready to type!

So I got the tube to Oxford Circus, which is where I met Zoe (my cousin), and from there we walked down to Carnaby Street.

The coloured buildings behind it reminded me of that old TV programme 'Balamory'. It wasn't too busy which was quite nice.
We walked around a bit until we found a Starbucks (it wasn't that hard to spot since they're on nearly every corner haha). We both had Iced Mocha's even thought it was freezing cold, don't judge haha.

After we had sat down for a bit whilst we drank our drinks we got up and wondered around a little. We came to this little sectioned off area which was full  of little boutique shops and cute little cafes. There was a cute little hat shop but there was no photography allowed inside *sad face*. We did however take some pictures outside this cute little cafe.

(I of course used my polaroid haha)

We then went on to walk around again and came to one of my all time favourite shops, Brandy Melville. They only have two shops in London (that I know of) so when I found out that there was one in Carnaby I literally freaked out! I was in my Element. I managed to get two things in there, a really nice grey top and a burgundy beanie (which I'm sure will be featured on here sooner or later)

After leaving Brandy Melville we walked around a bit until we came across some traditional red telephone boxes, so we obviously had to just act like total tourists.

We then walked around a little more until our legs began to ache, and then we went into a cute little cafe where we had fresh lemonade.
We then parted and I got the tube home, it was a good day!

I wore;
black petite leigh jeans - Topshop
silver and grey baseball style top - Hollister
a black coat - zara (a few years ago)
and my little black boots - new look (also a few years ago)

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, and gets through tomorrows monday blues!

Happy New Year - 2014

Hey guys, so Happy New Year! I cant believe its already 2014, I mean 2013 sure did fly by!

I hope everyone had a lovely New Years Eve, whether they were at a party or with family and friends just at home. My family and I settled on the latter option, haha. My cousins came over and we just all had sour pj's on and ate food, we also did fireworks although they were no where near as impressive as the London ones, which we watched on the t.v.

Pinch punch first day of the month.... no returns. hehe.

I hope everyone has had perfect start to the year today (Jan 1st 2014). All of my family met up and we went out to lunch.

New years resolutions... hmm, has everyone come up with theirs? These are mine for this year:

  • Become fit and healthy (cut out as much junk food as I can and exercise more)
  • exceed and achieve more on my blog
  • Discover a new hobby
  • have a thorough sought out in my room (haha)
  • Save up for an apple mac book laptop
  • try and start a youtube channel
  • bake more
  • discover new places to go

Im sure I will think of more as the year goes on, but I hope to, at the end of 2014 look back at these and tick of as many as I can.

On another note, it has been two months since I started this blog hehe, bring on the balloons.

Heers to an amazing year where everyone will set out to acheive their dreams, and if not this year then the next.
