OOTD, and a Summer BBQ

hey guys, as I said in my last post I have had a super busy weekend, awesome nevertheless haha. As well as my weekend being pretty fun the english weather (which has a tendency to have sudden showers of rain) managed to stay hot the entire weekend.

On friday night my friend and I went to see 'The fault in our stars' in the cinema which we had both been counting down the days to see. There is actually an original book written by John Green, which I can honestly say I read in about two hours, which was absolutely amazing so when we found out there was a film version of it we knew we just had to see it. It was quite funny because in the cinema theatre there was literally a choir of people's sniffles. I'm most likely going to be reading the book again soon and if I cant last until the dvd comes out then I'm probably going to be going back to the cinema to see the film again. SO as you can guess I recommend the book 100000%.

On saturday my friend and I went with her mum and little sister to 'summertime ball' which is a concert here in the UK hosted by capital (a radio station), every summer. This year there was around 21 acts, I was super sad because Sam Smith didnt manage to make it due to him being ill. But there was still amazing acts such as Miley Cyrus (who I had already seen previously at the O2, so that was super lucky), Iggy Azalea, Pharrell Williams, Rita Ora, Jessie J, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, Cheryl Cole, Ed Sheeran, The vamps, 5 seconds of summer, Clean Bandit and so many more. I think possibly my favourite of the night was David Guetta as he just made everyone get out of their seats it was super cool.

And today, Sunday, My uncle and Aunty hosted a BBQ for all the family, even the family who we don't see so often so that was nice. As I said earlier the weather managed to stay hot so that worked well.

Today I wore;

top: miss selfridge
trousers: Topshop
shoes: River island
bracelet: Michael Kors

Right now I'm currently drinking my (surprise, surprise) green tea and getting ready to pack for a three day school trip I am going on this Monday. I'm not quite 100% excited for it but hopefully it will give me some good memories with my friends.

Only a couple of weeks till summer... nearly there.

P.S thanks to my best cousin for helping me take these photos, hehe.

Life update, Fashion Magazine's, and Scrapbooks?

hey guys, exam season is officially over at school and I have under a month until I break up for the summer holidays (sighs in relief)!

As I am in year nine at the moment (half way through high school), I recently had to pick my GCSE options which I have now already started in this last term before the end of this academic year. I chose art, drama and history. It kind of sucked because my school didn't give us the option for textiles as a GCSE subject as they don't have the facilities but after I spoke to my art teacher she reassured me I could include textiles into my art projects, so that worked out pretty well. I also have to do the core subjects which are english, maths, science and french.

In other news, summer holidays is going to mean MANY more blogposts, so thats something I'm looking forward to, yayyy!

This is only a quick little update I guess, as I still have homework to do (whoops), but I felt that it would be nice to 'talk' to you guys.

Today I actually received something pretty cool, my little brothers friend's mum (that was a mouthful) gave me some past issues of harper's bazaar magazine from where she had had a subscription but no longer wanted the magazines. Some of them go as far back as late last year yet I'm loving looking through them and seeing what fashion trends have stuck and what I maybe missed out on, I'm just a sucker for fashion magazines full stop.

I'm actually wondering whether to cut all these magazines up and start a scrapbook where I can just put anything in from pieces of clothing that inspire me to even just a design that I like or even just sketches of mine. Ive been wanting to do that for a while so maybe now I've got all these magazines its something I could do... maybe thats something for me to start on in the summer. hmmm.

Anyway, I have a busy weekend coming up so be sure to expect at least one post up (maybe more). I look forward to sharing with you my exciting weekend.

(also good luck to those who have just like me, recently started their GCSE lessons)

Kisses,
