A Sephora Haul - Nars, Hourglass & more

You might know I live in England, and I haven't been to America recently, so your probably wondering why I've got a Sephora haul when there is quite unfortunately no Sephora here (is there a petition I can sign to get Sephora to the uk??) but no, my grandma recently went to florida and when she asked for a wish-list... I took the chance to ask for a few goodies that you can't get over here.

When browsing the Sephora website, I was overwhelmed with makeup galore; any highlighter, lipstick or foundation you could possibly wish for, and more...

You can actually get Nars products in Selfridges now, but it works out cheaper in the states. So I asked for the Nars creamy concealer in the shade 'Chantilly'. I was umming and urrring between the shades 'chantilly' and 'vanilla' but I finally decided on 'chantilly' after reading a few reviews as I figured I would prefer it to double as a concealer and brightener. I've heard so many positive reviews on this product (and on Nars products in general) so I'm super excited to try this out.

Next on my wish-list was the ever so swoon worthy Hourglass ambient lighting strobe lighting powder in the shade 'incandescent'. Again, you can in fact get this brand in space n k, but it works out cheaper in America. As much as I love the classic Hourglass ambient lighting palette, I wanted a more natural 'glow' and so decided on this one which is a gorgeous pearlescent pink shade.  After watching and reading countless reviews (you may notice I have a bit of a habit of researching anything before buying it) I decided that this product was perfect to give myself that simple, natural look whilst still defining my face - just without all the intense glitter.

Now for something you really can only get in America... the Anastasia dip brow pomade. I have been lusting over this for what must now have been a couple years and when I was in Florida a couple years ago I just totally forgot to get it so I just knew I couldn't not put it on the list. It was particularly hard to try and 'guess' my shade but luckily I'm pretty sure it is the perfect shade which I got in 'Soft Brown'. So I'm most excited to try this for myself and see if it lives up to the hype.

Last up in my Sephora haul is the Kat Von D everlasting liquid lipstick in the infamous shade; Lolita. These liquid lipsticks are rumoured to be 'ever so' long lasting and just trust me, they are! I wore this matte lipgloss out to dinner the other night and after eating and drinking it was still on my lips, so I was most impressed! The colour which is 'a lovely mauve/brown nude with a pink undertone' has also been spoke about by so many beauty guru's so I felt it was only logical that I tried it out, haha. The colour doesn't quite pick up on camera - but just trust me its gorgeous, and I can imagine it suiting all skin tones - so if you see it... get it !!!

I'm ever so thankful to my lovely Grandma who bought me these back from America, I've been absolutely spoiled!!

Let me know in the comments if you've bought any new makeup recently, I'm a bit of a magpie when it comes to makeup and love finding new products to try out!!

Kisses,
Maija Lily Xx

  3. I had no idea the UK didn't have Sephora, that needs to change!! Great picks though :) I love everything Nars and the dipbrow pomade is my absolute FAVORITE!! You can't go wrong, just takes a bit of practice to figure out how you like to apply it.
