Peanut butter Granola bites

If you've seen my Pinterest lately (@MaijaLily) you would see that I'm constantly 'pinning' new healthy recipes as I'm always looking for tasty yet healthy substitutes for my sweet tooth cravings rather than snacking on unhealthy foods like sweets, crisps and Chocolate.

When I came across the recipe for these granola bites last year I quickly pinned them and got in some of the ingredients, although a lot of the ingredients are very basic and you will most likely have in your kitchen already (I know I did).

I made them for the first time at some point last year, and I've been obsessed with them ever since. They are the easiest snack to make ever, period! They are a no baking recipe so all you need to do is stick them in the fridge overnight (or for a couple of hours if you are impatient like me!).

The best thing about these granola bites, is that they are totally changeable to whatever you prefer! You could alter the recipe to taste by replacing the chocolate chips with almonds, dried fruits, etc.

Ingredients:

1 cup oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup mini dark chocolate chips (you could use milk chocolate if you prefer)
1/3 cup honey
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

1. Put all ingredients into a large bowl and mix together.

2. Put the bowl into the fridge for about 1 minute so the mixture can harden slightly to make it easier when you are forming the granola balls.

3. Start to make balls out of the mixture. (I normally just do it by eye but try to make them around 1 inch).

4. Once you have used all the mixture and made around 10-15 balls place them on grease proof paper and put in the fridge for about an hour. Then transfer them into a container and leave them in the fridge. (They taste best if you leave them overnight before trying one).

5. Enjoy! (They last up to about a week but trust me they will be finished long before that).

And don't forget to Tag me on instagram @Greenteavogueandmeblog if you make them, I'd love t0 see!!

Kisses,
Maija Lily Xx

    1. Yes, they definitely do! They have just the right amount of sweetness from the chocolate and honey so that they give you your sweet fix as well as filling you up!
