NYFW SS16 Roundup

I have to admit even just keeping track of NYFW from the comfort of my bedroom was stressful enough so I can only imagine how it was for the people who were actually there running from show to show, haha!

So rather than writing a blog post on each and every fashion show, I figured it would be easier and way more productive to do a roundup post of all my favourite shows - much easier, right!?

So sit back, relax, (grab a tea) and get ready for a rather picture heavy post.

Zimmermann
I can confidently say that the Zimmermann show was one of my favourites from NYFW. There was a lot of frills (which I fully embrace), and soft colours. Basically all you could ever want for spring. Gosh, just look and these amazing dresses, perfect for the classic girly girl!!

Tory Burch

Okay, next up is the Tory Burch show, I'm equally in love with this collection and love the 'picnic in the park'/ 'walk on the beach'/ 'dresses to wow' vibes. I really couldn't put the designs into one category!

Calvin Klein

The Calvin Klein show represented all things neutral mixed with some pearlescent vibes, basically all I could ever want in my wardrobe!

Delpozo

The Delpozo show was just so cool, I mean look at the bright colours, the big bows and extravagant embellishment… just wow. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to the idea of having some of those dresses in my closet!

(Possible favourite dress alert!)

(Knits for summer, of course)

Sophie Theallet

The Sophie Theallet show, showed a much darker collection; warmer colours, leather cut outs, and feathers. How exciting !

Carolina Herrera

Ive changed my mind, AGAIN, the Carolina Herrera show was my ultimate favourite of NYFW. It just represented all things pink, aka all things spring. I'm so crazy in love with this collection and kinda want it all in my wardrobe.

(are you as obsessed as I am??)

Rachel Zoe

The Rachel Zoe show sort of followed through with the current 70's trend with its suede, fringe, tassels and prints. Its safe to say I'm loving it.

Tibi

Much like the Calvin Klein show, the Tibi show also showed a collection of designs that held a simplistic vibe, which is just so easy to style in the spring/summer seasons. LOVE.

Jason Wu

Last but definitely not least, is the Jason Wu show. Much like the Sophie Theallet show, the collection showed a lot of warmer colours as well as some prints.

So overall, my favourite collections were definitely the girly, pink, frilly ones by Carolina Herrera and Zimmermann… you just can't go wrong with a little bit of pink.

What was your favourite show from NYFW. Did you get to attend any shows?

Stay tuned for my LFW SS16 Roundup blog which will be up towards the end of the week.

Kisses,
Maija Lily Xx
